Launch of the new SMART Citrus

MAF RODA Group launches a new citrus quality software for its Globalscan 7 Viotec, much more intuitive and easier to adjust without losing accuracy and reliability.

The company, in constant evolution and always at the forefront of technology, has developed a new solution that optimizes the work of the plant operator to the maximum. Its main objective is to simplify line management so that adjustments and changes in external analysis are quick and intuitive.

This new software, SMART Citrus, uses algorithms based on Artificial Intelligence. This makes it possible to develop a program capable of automatically readjusting itself, or adjusting it manually by pressing on the image of the fruit. In this way, the number of parameters can be reduced to just two, adapting very quickly and easily to the orders that the plant has to prepare. A complete customization according to the needs of each installation at the click of a button. In addition, thanks to artificial intelligence, the algorithm continues to learn on its own, so that its accuracy continues to increase and adapt to the customer’s working methods more and more.

While in the previous version the program had to be configured at installation and adjustments had to be made by the programmer, now the installation and start-up times of the new software are considerably reduced, making implementation much simpler. Similarly, in just a few hours the operator will be able to manage the line in complete autonomy.

Another great advantage of this new software is that it is fully compatible with the Globalscan 7 – Viotec bell, so it will be enough to purchase the new software to enjoy the latest generation in external quality analysis. At this stage, it is launched for citrus fruits and can work with oranges and mandarins.
